Bill Wasel crossed over on Jan. 29, 2007. The memorial gathering will be
held at 11 a.m., Saturday Feb. 10, at Weedon Island Preserve, St.
Petersburg. From 4th St N, turn east on 83rd Ave N, after crossing the
bridge take the first right, Weedon Island Drive. Address is 1800 Weedon

William "Bill" Bullard 12/22/48 - 3/8/07

It is with sadness that I inform everyone that our beloved jammer, Bill Bullard, passed away peacefully in the arms of his love, Danu and with his best friend and music partner, Brent, beside him.  Over the two evenings
prior to his death early on the morning of Mar. 8, Susan and I , Danu and her son , Joe, Brent, Bill's sister and brother and other friends and family shared songs and stories of Bill.  As Bill's brother, Marty, said at the bedside of Bill, "he is the best person I've ever known."

Steve Blackwell 1948 - 2006

Steve Blackwell

April 18, 1948 -September 4, 2006
 

Blackwell, well known as a musician and songwriter on the Florida folk scene, a teacher at Charlotte High School and a founder of the Guitar Army that plays weekly and welcomes anyone, died at 58 years old. Steve lived in Punta Gorda and was  the grandson of a vaudeville performer.  His passions for poetry and storytelling was reflected in his life and in  singing folk songs.
